Pete`s Legacy Diner in Vestal

Upon arriving at 10 am Sunday there was a line out the door. I would have left, but the group (of 5) wanted to wait. When a table finally opened we were waited on immediately. Food was good- we had pancakes, Belgian waffle, bacon, egg sandwich. Waitress was excellent- friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere: republican Christian: Fox news on the tv, religous paintings on the walls. Being a democratic atheist, I don't point this out as a compliment. There was still a line out the door when we left. Total occupancy is 80.

Great breakfast. Our favorites are French toast and omelet.

Solid diner. Friendly, cozy, suvlaki and reuben were both great. Recommend.

The food here is good. Worth the short wait. Amazing how they can accommodate people so quickly.

My wife and I tried this diner out for the first time. We did not have to wait to be seated, they sat us down as soon as we walked in. We got our food within 10 minutes and it tasted great. Definitely recommend this spot.

I love Pete's! The service is always amazing and the food is delicious, especially the homemade french toast (a must try!) . The lunch sandwiches are good, too, in my experience. If you get french fries, try their honey mustard!

The food is fantastic. The wait to get in was a lot shorter than we expected. They're very efficient at getting people in and out in a timely manner. I got a turkey club, and it was absolutely delicious. The food arrived quickly, and they got my order perfectly right. The service was great, and they have the best lemon meringue pie I've ever had.

Pete's is super clean and all the new guidelines look to be followed. The food is awesome. The wait staff is so friendly, Heather was great! See you again soon!!

Good food, but nothing spectacular. I had a western omlet. It was pretty good, but the onions where much too large, so they were basically raw. Everything else was good though. I'll give it another shot and see how things go.

Food is ALWAYS good and priced right too. Wait staff are always pleasant and are happy to fix any kind of mistake and will work with you if you want a substitution for something. At busy hours it can definitely be a wait out the door but hey... There's good and tasty reason for that

Best food in town

It was my first time visiting this Diner, being new to the area I had heard it was a great place to get some good food. The diner definitely didn't disappoint, great food fabulous prices excellent service!

Excellent food. Reasonable prices. Fast friendly service. Most often there's a 5-10 minute wait for a table but you hardly ever see anybody not willing to wait. Free parking. All good reasons why it is worth the wait!

Pete's Diner is what diners should be....the food is absolutely delicious! It's good Old Fashioned comfort food...I have never had a bad meal there....the muffins are made fresh wvery day... Expect to wait....BUT...it's well worth the wait!!!!

Best breakfast in vestal

Quick friendly service in a clean basic place. Nothing fancy but a good selection of comfort food. Meal arrived at table quickly and food was good. I was highly tempted by the muffins on the way out.

Very good service. Hot food. Clean and organized. A bit small, but serves a large crowd amazingly fast! Excellent carrot cake and delicious raspberry pie, freshly made rice pudding!

Popular diner. You may have to wait a few minutes to be seated when it's super busy but the host watches over the restaurant like a hawk to get people served quickly as possible. It can be great when in a hurry but if you sit awhile chatting over coffee you may feel a bit of rushed energy. However, the prices are pretty reasonable and it's great for breakfast/lunch whenever I'm out & about with friends in Vestal. They always offer specials. No specific vegan options on their menu. I work around it as it's something I'm use to. Easy parking.

Pete's is my absolute favorite diner! The prices are amazing and the service is even better! We go as often as we can! I wish they were open 24 hours lol I'd get all my meals there 🤣

Love this lovely little restaurant , even if there is a waiting line it moves very quickly, and the service is equally quick. The food is always excellent. Especially the Fish and Macaroni and cheese, Love that it's a nice quiet place with out music barring in you head, The staff is awesome.

We have been semi-regulars at Pete's for about nine years. We eat breakfast here every few weeks. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. The rye toast is great. The omelets are large and not dry like some places. The home fries are great but I wish they gave you more of them. There is usually a line but it moves very fast. The service is fast. Most of the waitresses are very friendly but we do have our favorites.

This place was terrific! So very busy BUT they have it down to a science. Long was long parking lot was full but we got right in and ordered and got our food in five minutes tops everything tasted great and staff was very friendly.

This is one of my favorite diners, period. The staff is all great, food too. The only downside is that there can be a pretty long wait sometimes.

Awesome french toast. Pete's son bakes the brioche used for the French toast. Good commercial syrup but would be even better with maple, even for a fee. Home made hash and sausage gravy very nice as well. They never let my coffee get down to half empty. Can't wait to try the monstrous cakes and pies visible at the counter. Very nice people

Really enjoyed this breakfast. Staff was very friendly. The potatoes were very well seasoned and had onion in them I didn't have to add anything to them. I wanted to try the sausage gravy but they didn't have the option for just one biscuit. They don't offer Wi-Fi password so if your dining alone and enjoy reading something, bring a paper. It was $10.20 for everything I got here plus tip. I enjoyed it and hope to come back to try their lunch.

Pete's is our go to place for a good breakfast. Friendly staff, friendly atmosphere.

My breakfast spot of choice. There's usually a small wait, but they are so fast and efficient, the line moves quickly. The wait staff is no joke, they are pros. Quick service, quick and good food.
